With the popularity of our Top 15 Trailer Remixes and Top 15 Trailer Mash-Ups lists, and with the advent of our new Classic Trailers section, I decided that it was time to think a bit bigger and come up with a list of the best movie trailers of all-time.
However, in the process of researching the best trailers ever, I made a startling discovery: at least half of the best all-time trailers are actually teaser trailers.
For those who don’t know, a teaser trailer is a 1 minute plus mini-trailer that’s put out long before a movie’s opening (and before the actual full-length trailers), which are meant to initiate the anticipation for a movie. Often times, these teasers don’t even show any actual movie footage. Perhaps that’s why I fell in love with them…they’re all the excitement of a trailer and none of the spoilers.
Anyway, these teasers were so good that I couldn’t help but give them their very own list. But don’t worry, the real top movie trailers list will be coming shortly.
