Help
HelpSince all of us are unique butterflies with original problems that rarely overlap, we've compiled this list of Frequently Asked Questions to help you overcome those problems. However, if you don't find your problem on the list below, please feel free to send an email to contact@trailerspy.com. FAQs UPLOADING Why won't my trailer upload properly?!! Well, unfortunately, we're not quite at YouTube level yet, and every once in a while, a user will have trouble getting a trailer to upload. The problem is probably ours, but that doesn't mean that there isn't some things that you can do to fix it. First and foremost, try uploading again. Sometimes there's just a glitch, and it takes a second try. And make sure you give it enough time to convert completely before exiting the page. If that doesn't work, try a different file type or file size (if you can). And if that doesn't work, give us a shout, and we'll see if we can help you get the trailer up on the site. My trailer uploaded, and I can view it, but it's not showing up on either the homepage or the main channel page. Well, there's a good reason for this. It's because we haven't approved it yet. Given the realities of spam and inappropriate content, each uploaded trailer has to be approved before it shows up on one of the main pages. This may take up to 24 hours, but will usually occur much more quickly than that. It's been much longer than 24 hours. Why hasn't my trailer been approved yet?! Unfortunately, we reserve the right to not approve your trailer at all, which means that it will never make it onto a main page on the site (although it will still be viewable through the url). And this isn't because we don't like you. It's just that we want to keep the site as user-friendly as possible. That means, if your trailer is a duplicate of one that's already been posted, it may not be approved. Or if our editors find it inappropriate in any way. Or if it's listed in the wrong category or without a description. In other words, it's up to us to determine what gets posted on the main pages, but we'll do our best to include your trailers. VIEWING Why is this trailer loading so slowly? It's way too choppy to view properly ? What?! Choppy?! Which trailer?!! It's our goal at TrailerSpy to provide the optimal trailer-viewing conditions, so if there's ever a trailer that's loading slowly (and you're not on a dial-up network), please contact us immediately. Why is the quality so bad on this trailer There are sites who's goal it is to provide you with nothing but HD movie trailers. TrailerSpy's goal, on the other hand, is to provide you with all the trailers in the best possible video quality available. This means, while you'll find plenty of HD trailers on TrailerSpy, you'll also find some LD (is that even a term?) trailers on this site, usually because it's the only version of the trailer that's available on the net. Also, since we allow other people to upload trailers, we can't always guarantee that other people will put as high a premium on video resolution as we do. GRIEVANCES My name is Brad Pitt, and I didn't authorize you to post the trailer for my new movie on your stupid website?!! Whoa there, calm down Brad. We were only trying to help you sell more movie tickets, but if you don't want the trailer up on TrailerSpy, that's your prerogative. If you want us to take down a trailer (for any reason whatsoever), just send us an email, and we'll take it down ASAP. |
