Whoever was responsible for that animated remake of TMNT really needs to take note: this is how you bring back a successful franchise. Bigger, Better, and Badder. The trailer for this movie makes my mouth water. I can’t wait to SEE IT.
Transformers is not yet rated and opens on the fourth of July. (Official Site)

I want to like this movie. I really do. I was a big fan of the ‘toon back in the day. However, I still can’t help but feel like this movie’s going to be a let down. It’s not that I’m upset about their reinvention of the franchise; I just don’t think it’s going to execute all that well. Early trailers made this look more like a big commercial for the Army, but this one actually makes it look enjoyable, so I’m left with mixed emotions.
I was on the SKIP IT train for this one until I saw the trailer in front of Pirates 3 last week. Now I’m all for SEEING IT.
Cars and Trucks in Transformers the Movie…
Transformers the movie is now the most anticipated motion picture after the number one box office hit Spider-Man 3 premiered this May. The Transformers will be out in theatres this coming July so you better get your ticket reservations for the best s…..
It looks like another disaster flick this time with giant alien robots that can look like cars and planes instead of aliens or a meteor or natural disaster.
Transformers is about the robots. This trailer doesn’t have a single word spoken by a robot and it only has a brief shot of two robots fighting.
I’d much prefer to see robots fighting in the desert and stealing energon cubes from remote locations, but I understand that’s not going to sell tickets. Still, they should at least give the actual Transformers screen time and personalities. Hopefully this is just a setup to the franchise and we’ll see more character development from the robots in the second movie, but I doubt it.
$10 says the last shot in the movie is of Megatron’s eye lighting up aftter he’s supposed “dead” after a big fight with Optimus that the good guys due to some human doing something heroic.
Anyway, Go Deacs! Go Spurs! Go Timmy!
I’m a girl, so I really have no interest in seeing Transformsers.
And this is a little off topic, but yes, Go Deacs! Go Spurs! Go Timmy!
[…] The big winner of the night was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, winning the award for 2007 Summer Blockbuster trailer. Harry Potter beat out Spider-Man 3, Transformers, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Live Free or Die Hard. […]
Transformers is the best movie I’ve ever seen… although I’m definitely with the Golden Trailers in naming Harry Potter the best trailer.
[…] Want to create a viral marketing campaign for your untitled movie? Run a trailer for it before a hot summer blockbuster, and only mention the new movie’s release date. That’s right, before showings of Transformers, a mysterious trailer says little except that it’s a J.J. Abrams film that will open on 1-18-08. […]
[…] As I predicted in my review of the trailer, this one is a SEE IT. So once you’re tired of watching Camaro’s turning into robots, evil wizards getting vanquished, and Bruce Willis being old, go check out Hairspray. If you don’t leave the theater tapping your feet with a smile on your face, check your pulse. You might be dead. I have to say I was very excited about this movie when I saw the trailer. I am one of those girls who loves movies like this. Since it is now after July 4, I have seen the movie. Well worth the wait! It had good action and, surprisingly, a lot of humor. Definitely SEE IT.
